The Affirmation of Faith
(What We Believe)
We believe in the Holy Trinity of the Godhead.
We believe in the Father who is God Almighty, the first person of the Trinity and that He is the Absolute, Living, and Eternal God and the creator of all things.
We believe in the Son who is Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, to be the only begotten Son of God, the word made flesh, conceived and born of the Virgin Mary who was human and divine, truly lived, suffered, died, rose again from the dead, ascended on high, is now seated at the right hand of the Father, and shall return again.
We believe that the Holy Ghost, the third person of the Trinity, was sent from God and the Son. The Holy Spirit convicts and converts sinners, dwells in the believer, keeps the believer from the power of sin and leads him to the Father through his Son Jesus Christ.
We believe the bible is the inspired word of God, the Supreme book of Authority and counsel, the sacred testimony of God, given to us through biblical men, where God seeks to reveal his will to man and man seeks to respond to God's revelation.
We believe that the union of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is revealed through the Church, they body of believers in Jesus Christ, and that all believers are united into that one body, the church through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe the two ordinances to be exercised in the church is the Lord's Supper and Water Baptism. The Lord's Supper symbolizing the death and suffering of the Lord Jesus Christ and Water Baptism symbolizes the burial of the old man and the rising of the new man. We baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
We believe that Christ is coming back for His Holy Church without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing. Christ coming back for the church is the Believer's Blessed Hope and a vital truth, giving men the inspiration to holy living and faithful service.
We believe that without Holiness in spirit, soul, and body, no man shall see the Lord. Amen.
